Sad Whisperings

Founded early nineties as Desecrate, the band played death metal with some doom influences. After the change in musical direction to atmospheric doom/death metal, heavily influenced by the greats like My Dying Bride and Paradise Lost, the name was changed to the more suiting Sad Whisperings. The full length ‘Sensitive to Autumn’ was recorded in 1993. After the recording of promo’s in 1995 and 1998, the band went on hiatus.

The interesst from VIC Records in 2022 in re-issueing ‘Sensitive to Autumn’ led to the reformation of the band. A year later ‘Return to Autumn’ was released by VIC Records, comprising the ’95 and ’98 promo recordings.

The band has recorded 11 new songs at Soundlodge recording facilities in late 2024. The EP 'Strategy of Tension' was released on Vidar Records on October 4th 2026 and was followed by the full-length album 'the Hermit' on Januari 19.
