Phlebotomized is one of the first Death metal bands from The Netherlands and one of the earliest to use violin and synthesizers in extreme metal. Their typical “Death metal with a twist” caused a stir in the booming Dutch metal scene back in the early 90’s.

Formed in 1989, Phlebotomized started as a Grindcore/Death metal outfit, inspired by acts like Morbid Angel, Nocturnus and Paradise Lost. Later on, the band began to use keyboard and violin arrangements, resulting in their unique sound. Their “DEVOTED TO GOD” demo (1992) is recognized as a classic one.

In 1994 Phlebotomized released their seminal album “IMMENSE INTENSE SUSPENSE” which offered an intelligent blend of atmosphere and brutality. It took the scene by storm, giving both the band and the album a worldwide cult status. The band did many shows but disbanded shortly after the release of their second full-length album “SKYCONTACT” in 1997.

Phlebotomized regrouped in 2013 and their classic albums were re-released. After some changes in line-up, their comeback album “DEFORMATION OF HUMANITY” (Hammerheart Records – 2019) was recorded and two years later the EP “PAIN, RESISTANCE, SUFFERING” saw the light (Petrichor – 2021). Both releases received raving reviews and Phlebotomized played several shows and festivals like Netherlands Deathfest, Frantic Fest and Brutal Assault.

The release of their fourth full-length album “CLOUDS OF CONFUSION” (Hammerheart Records – 2023) adds a new chapter to the lore. Again a record containing all elements that distinguishes Phlebotomized from the ordinary: wayward and exploring beyond the scopes of conventional paths in Death metal.

Endeavour is a metalcore band that consists of four musicians from the South of The Netherlands. Through hard hitting drums, memorable melodies and captivating guitar parts Endeavour has made clear they’re a force to be reckoned with. Steal Thy Roots was born out of the deranged brain of Greg den Hartog.
His passion for these two music styles bestowed him the idea to combine these opposites and create something that no living mortal has ever heard before.

What once started as a small cover band, covering songs by their favorite artists like Polaris, Parkway Drive, Enter Shikari, Beartooth, and many more, grew into a real band when they started writing their own music.

With their first EP currently in progress, Previse has already shown what they’re worth with their first single, “Broken the Cycle”. An absolute unit of a track, which manages to get the crowds moving every time.

Previse is currently looking to perform on as many podiums as possible, to gain experience. They’re an energetic bunch, and give it their all every single performance, no matter how small the venue, or how big the crowd.

Nymue is a starting progressive symphonic metalband with big influences from classical music, movie soundtracks and ofcourse metal!

Starting out with just the two of them Vincent van Zwieten and Thirza Fekkes worked on a cover in the summer of 2022 by the Frisian metalband Baldrs Draumar. While working on this cover they arranged for a full orchestra and after this experience they wanted to create more!

In April of 2023 their next cover saw the light: Scientist by Ayreon and Stream of Passion singer Marcela Bovio. They asked Reinier van Zwieten to join them for the symphonic metal rendition of this ballad.

For their cover of Mother Earth by Within Temptation the band got expanded with the brutal drums of Dominic Pongers in November of 2023.

After working with a plugin orchestra they wanted to work with real classical musicians. They put together an orchestra of 35 musicians consisting of professional, semi-professionals and friends of Thirza’s orchestra days. For their cover of Mother Earth by Within Temptation they also worked with a choir made up of students of Thirza from the Parcival College in Groningen.

After that they crossed ways with amazing guitarist Bastiaan Westerbeek for their cover of The Phantom of the Opera who joined in December of 2023.

In the short period of existing they worked together with Jeffrey Revet (Stream of Passion) and Sjoerd Klaas Steegstra (Baldrs Draumar).

AUM ZORION is an instrumental post-metal outfit from Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Two former members of 90ies Dutch death metal greats Sinister and Consolation, drummer Toep Duin and guitarist Robert van der Mijle, had been toying with the idea to abandon their death metal roots and do something completely different: an instrumental project to satisfy their interests in other genres of heavy music; post, doom, black, groove, sludge.

After guitarist Eelko-Jan Groenevelt joined in late 2022, they started writing music in early 2023.

Only nine months later, in October 2023, they enlisted Erwin Hermsen to record, mix and master their debut album at his Toneshed Recording Studios, renowned for its extreme metal productions. The album features intricately layered soundscapes, big heavy riffs interchanged with parts that are quiet and ethereal, as AUM ZORION tries to take you on an uninterrupted, 45-minute long trip.

AUM ZORION played their debut live show to rave reviews in a sold out Flux in Zaandam in April 2024, only to be thwarted immediately afterwards by their bass player leaving.

In August 2024, Marco Stolker, of Mutilated Bones fame (early Dutch metal/grindcore), joined AUM ZORION as its new bassplayer to complete the line-up.

AUM ZORION released their debut album on June 1st 2024.

AARDSCHOK MAGAZINE said that AUM ZORION plays ‘instrumental post-metal that is reminiscent of the polished hammer blows of Russian Circles, Isis and Amenra’, and awarded 78 points to ‘a promising debut’.

METALFROMNL said ‘it’s the perfect music to get lost in and drift away in a lucid dream before black and progressive metal influences jolt you back to reality’ and ‘the album is best enjoyed as a whole, with all tracks forming one big story’.

Since completing their line-up, AUM ZORION has been working on the production of their live show, which will see them perform their debut album in full, in its entirety, accompanied by a visual show of video and lights, to create an immersive experience taking the audience on a journey through this ‘one big story’.
