ALVENRAD hails from the Veluwe and is conceived as a folk metal band.Entitled ‘Habitat’, the debut album saw the light as noble digipak in 2014. The band’s wayward approach to folk metal left no one indifferent.Drummer Ingmar Regeling and bass player Arjan Hoekstra joined the duo to enter the stage in ’16. Thus the world premiere was in Balve (Germany) in ’16, on the eve of the Prophecy Fest. Then Arjan quit and Mark’s younger brother Thijs took his place. The band released their second album entitled ‘Heer’ as a luxury box set on the 8th of December ’17. The album showed a different approach to folk metal once more and leaned heavily on 70s rock. Thus keyboardist Jasper focussed on Hammond this time. Lyricist Mark used the old Germanic verse form for a great part of the lyrics. Since this wasn’t done in rock music before, it made the album even more unique. In 2019, ALVENRAD joined Heidevolk on their tour through the 12 provinces of the Netherlands. Meanwhile they parted ways with Ingmar Regeling on drums and welcomed Nathanael Taekema on board. ALVENRAD is about to come home. On the upcoming third album they’ll turn to a style which is the closest to their “roots, heart and spirit”: 90s nature inspired metal like originators Vintersorg, Borknagar and old Ulver. The songs will dive deep into essential elements of their home area the Veluwe, expressed in alliterative verse, beautiful folkloric tunes and metallic aggression.

GODSCUM is founded in 2012, a first demo saw the light in 2013 and a video for the song “The Great War” was made as well and had some great reviews.

The band then played a few gigs, changed in the meanwhile the drummer, and took it easy for a while, since other projects (like Ayreon for guitarist Marcel Coenen) took some time from the band members.

The band consists out of 4 members, who are all masters on their instruments.

Founded to play what they play best; metal music, the important common ground. With band members that earned their keeps in bands as Form, Sun Caged, Stormrider, Ayreon, Channel Zero, Disabuse, Lemur Voice, Speedica, Holy Moses and Extremities, you can never really be sure what to expect. Think aggressive, modern, old school, shred, groove, military, industrial, atmospheric, and bring all these elements together.

In 2020 the band released an album through Lion Music, the first full length album “The Zodiac Horrorscope” has 12 songs that will shake you to death ! From Doom till Thrash, Heavy till Groove, Atmospheric till Extremely dark, you will find it all back in the songs on the album.

Evolution is essential to survival. In the ever-changing world of heavy music, that’s an undeniable reality. As the march of time gathers speed and threatens to crush us all under its heels, it’s time to make way for the futuristic multi-metal eruption of CRYPTOSIS. Formerly known throughout the European metal underground as old school thrash mob Distillator, Laurens Houvast [vocals/guitar], Frank te Riet [bass/mellotron/backing vocals] and Marco Prij [drums] have undergone a wholesale transformation and upgrade, resulting in a band with a sound that is guaranteed to blow minds and wreck necks.

CRYPTOSIS have a sound that defies expectations and limitations with equal intensity. A dizzying blend of visceral extremity, symphonic pomp and wild, progressive invention, the songs on Bionic Swarm showcase a supremely passionate band with a unique and ingenious take on metal’s amorphous rudiments. Elements of blackened death, progressive thrash and grandiose symphonic metal are all present and correct, but Cryptosis have combined them in an exhilarating, unprecedented new form that promises to satisfy on both primal and cerebral levels.

Their debut album ‘Bionic Swarm’ (Released march 26 – 2021 on Century Media Records) is a concept album that explores the potential horrors of a dystopian future where runaway technology controls humanity in a variety of sinister ways, Bionic Swarm provides instant proof that Cryptosis were right to forge a new path that reflects the warped sci-fi grimoire that informs their lyrics.

Reborn as forward-thinking explorers of the extreme metal cosmos, Cryptosis is what happens when metal is allowed to evolve, to expand and to breathe. An invigorating shot in the arm for the entire metal scene, Bionic Swarm was one of 2021’s most talked-about debuts. Released on Century Media Records, this first chapter in the Cryptosis story will have you gripped from the start.

BORN INFECTED is a new Dutch hardcore band founded in 2019. Ronald, Stan and Patrick already have a musical history together (Past our Means, Crawfish) but with the addition of Pascal (ex-Brickless, ex-Revealed) on bass and Ken (drums in Reverse The Flow) on vocals, the band was complete. The idea to make Born Infected a special project quickly arose. We all feel that our band and music should stand for something. Cooperation with other musicians and artists in the hardcore scene was a logical step to generate attention for organizations who need a platform and some extra support.

Stronger together Under the slogan “Stronger Together” we reached out to a couple of organizations/charities who we feel best embody our thoughts of what the hardcore scene should represent. Hardcore Help Foundation, Animal Rights and Sea Shepherd were enthusiastic immediately.

With our mix of hardcore, metal and punk we want to wake up the world a bit. Music is a big part of our life and a great way to express ourselves and demand attention for the things we think actually matter.

An uncompromising manifestation of ferocity and utter discontent is probably the best way to describe the dismally melancholic sound of Teethgrinder. Hailing from the Netherlands and previously active in DrDoom and Greyline, these grinders strive for an authentic yet progressive sound, spawned by a fusion of several genres, namely; grindcore, black metal, crust and sludge. Teethgrinder honours their roots and simultaneously attempts to broaden the spectrum of grindcore itself, resulting in an unsettling maelstrom of grinding ferocity.

The critically acclaimed EP Hellbound, consisting out of four blistering songs, was released in the spring of 2014 and marked the band’s debut. While the EP was initially released on 7” vinyl, the copies sold out within months and consequently an additional CD version was pressed. In order to promote Hellbound, Teethgrinder started their crushing live devastation supporting bands like; Dillinger Escape Plan, Terrorizer, Enslaved, Anaal Natrakh and Napalm Death. Additionally they were invited by festivals such as Incubate, Into the Grave, Deathfeast and Dokk’em Open Air.

While quickly garnering infamy for their energetic, loud and aggressive live performances, the band recorded the full-length Misanthropy, within a year after the release of Hellbound. Misanthropy saw its worldwide release on the 12th of May 2015 through Lifeforce records and offers an even more diverse collection of aggressive genre-fusing songs as well as guest performances of members of Aborted and Exhumed and artwork by Marald Van Haasteren. To promote Misanthropy; Teethgrinder did an extensive tour through Europe with Tombs and Black Anvil, a UK tour, got invited to play Netherlands Deathfest, Krachtstroom, Obscene Extreme, Bloodshed festival and Fekal Party, as well as doing support slots for Behemoth, Rotten Sound, Aborted, Belphegor, Misery Index, Magrudergrind and many more.

Teethgrinder are looking forward to the next step in their progression by touring as much as possible in order to promote their second full length Nihilism, which was released on November 18th 2016 through Lifeforce Records. As the current state of our society becomes more corrupt and debased with every passing minute, Teethgrinder’s burning flames of dissent will light burn ever more brightly in the future, ensuring that this is only the beginning of a legacy of discontent.
