Abrupt Demise is founded in 2010 by Herman Uiterwijk, they then played their first show in October 2011 as a support act for Vomitory, Prostitute Disfigurement, Sinster and a number of other great bands. With their first CD ‘Aborted From Life’, Abrupt Demise has received a lot of media attention and widespread radio coverage stretching from the Netherlands to Poland and Canada.

This small but cheeky CD received some good reviews around the world with an overall score of 8 out of 10 stars. Shortly after the recordings, Jos Ferweda was welcomed as the new bassist. In 2014, Abrupt Demise started their ‘ Mutual Mutilation’ campaign with several festivals and performances throughout Europe. Two years later the ‘Mutual Mutilation’ demo was recorded with the now new singer Rene Brugmans. Shortly afterwards, Marc Ouwendijk joined the band. A few months later, Peter Hagen was hired as the new lead guitarist.

New songs, great shows in Malta, Leeds & Cardiff and a 14-day tour through America were on the program, and the first full-length ‘The Pleasure To Kill And Grind’ was released in spring of 2020. With excellent reviews, only unfortunately right at the start of 2 years of Covid During that period, Peter decided to quit and Ardy de Jong was recruited as the new lead guitarist.

After Covid, great shows were played in the Czech Republic, Malta, Italy and England, France, Spain and a Split EP with the friends of Putrefied Corpse was released!

There are also almost 10 new songs ready for the successor to “The Pleasure”, which should see the light of day in 2025!

Slapende Honden was een metal- en grindgeïnspireerde hardcoreband uit Utrecht. De band combineerde sludge- en grindelementen met de kracht van hardcore. De band bestond uit vier bandleden. Slapende Honden werd opgericht in de vroege jaren ‘00. Helaas is de band in 2024 officieel uit elkaar gegaan.

Drummer en gitarist van slapende honden zijn na de break up in NN 17 gaan spelen; Crust punk grind band. Zanger van slapende honden heeft een grindcore band opgericht; Blind to the Bars

Groovende, beukende metal waarin felle raps worden afgewisseld met melodieuze zang, geïnspireerd door occulte, maatschappelijke en filosofische thema’s.

Waar zware, laag gestemde gitaren en groovende bass om aandacht strijden met beukende drums en waar raps van Peggy afgewisseld worden met melodieuze zang van Tjalf. Waar een explosieve en sfeervolle metal mix, met ingrediënten die wellicht bekend zijn, toch een frisse eigen klank creëert.

In 2025 beleefde Counter Creation haar podiumdebuut in Utrecht en is daarna met twee gitaristen uitgebreid tot een zestal. Counter Creation staat nu garant voor nog meer beukvermogen, staat te trappelen om dit aan iedereen die wil te laten horen en staat klaar om binnenkort podium bij jou in de buurt op zijn kop te zetten.

DELAIN has started a thrilling new chapter and is ready to storm the globe again. After experiencing a lineup change in 2021, Martijn Westerholt (founder/main songwriter/keys) was rejoined by long-time members Ronald Landa (guitars) and Sander Zoer (drums). In early 2022, DELAIN was further strengthened by the addition of Diana Leah (vocals) and Ludovico Cioffi (bass) completing their dynamic lineup in time to record the band’s highly anticipated seventh studio album DARK WATERS which was released via Napalm Records on February 10, 2023.

DELAIN has seven studio albums and three EP’s to its name, including guest performances from the titans of the scene, among others: Sharon Den Adel (WITHIN TEMPTATION), Marko Hietala (NIGHTWISH) who is a returning guest on the new album DARK WATERS, and Alissa White-Gluz (ARCH ENEMY). Having toured the globe with bands like NIGHTWISH, SABATON and WITHIN TEMPTATION, and having rocked festivals like WACKEN, GRASPOP, and DOWNLOAD, DELAIN has strongly carved its niche within the scene as one of the original early generation bands in the genre. With its revitalized lineup, including the stunning and breathtaking vocals by Diana Leah, DELAIN is set to continue their legacy and forge new paths within the metal scene.
