In early 2023, a spark ignited the flames of Dreadmask, a melodic death metal band based in Eindhoven, with members originating from Greece, Hungary, and The Netherlands.

Fuelled by their shared passion for meaningful heavy music, Dreadmask wasted no time in making their mark on the scene. After each member had taken a break from previous bands, it was John Kourentas, Elger van Delft and Antonis Mougiakakos who initiated the band’s first incarnation. When Zoltàn Herczog came aboard in the summer of 2023, the group was settled.

The band released their debut EP, entitled ‘Thy Prime Dread’, on the 1st of May 2024, expertly mixed and mastered by Erwin Hermsen of Toneshed Recording Studio in Horst, The Netherlands.

Dreadmask, derived from the fusion of ‘dread’ and ‘mask,’ embodies the essence of fear and concealment. While ‘dread’ signifies the haunting grip of anxiety, ‘mask’ alludes to the veils we arise to shield our vulnerabilities. On the journey of playing the game of societal norms, we encounter our ‘Prime Dread’—our deepest fears.

Each member of Dreadmask brings their unique musical influences to the forefront, encompassing swedish death metal riffs, growling vocals, soaring melodies, progressive metal’s nuances, and black metal-inspired melancholy.

Drive by Suicide is a 4-man Groove Metal formation from the middle of The Netherlands. Starting sometime in 2002 they played shows, recorded a demo in 2005 and different bass players joined and left the band. Until 2011 where a new bass player joined. With this new formation, the band played shows gaining more presence in the underground scene. One of these shows was the one-day festival Army of Metal 2016. An EP was recorded with different songs from other bands who played the festival. Drive by Suicide contributed the song “Fuck This” and made an official video to go with it!
Hungry for more the band entered the studio in 2016 to record more of their songs. On February 22, 2017 the release of the album “Annihilated” is a fact! Some more singles and videos dropped the following years after.

Drive by Suicide like to call their style Groove Metal. They get inspired by bands like Gojira, Meshuggah, Slipknot, Fear Factory, Chimaira, Lamb Of God, Hatebreed, Primus, Static-x, Korn, Mudvayne, Pantera, Strapping Young Lad etc. The band is known for their heavy riffs, massive beats, raw vocals and most of all an energetic live performance!!
