Starting a new death metal band is always fun. But what when you decide to start with a song you wrote 30 years ago to release as a single, and you cannot choose between the modern U.S. guitar sound and the Swedish chainsaw guitar sound? Right, you do both!
This a unique chance for fans to discover both sounds in untouched pure early 90’s death metal. Vile Art is formed by the Dutch musician Ivor van Beek (Non-Divine) in November 2023. Hungry to release his passion for death metal he decided to form a new band playing death metal how it’s done in the early 90’s influenced by both U.S. and Swedish bands. Furious blast beats alternated with groove riffs, screeching solos and melodic harmonies will take you back in time to the most glorious days of death metal.
The double release of the first single “Trapped In The Desert” will be on Friday, July 26th, 2024. The single is mastered by the Danish producer Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Arch Enemy, Amaranthe, Flotsam & Jetsam, and many others) and will feature lyrics videos made by the Italian artist Andrea Mantelli (Cryptopsy, Autopsy, and many others). Next up will be a full album with new material only.
